The Hummock Trail began as a strategic lookout for moose hunters who needed a better view of the bog. It later became a favored spot for locals to sit back, unwind, and take in nature. To the East there is an incredible view of the Tableland Mountains. To the West you can view the Long Range Mountains. One in particular in known to locals as the Elephant's Head Mountain.
