History

Opened in 2008 at it's present site with the life-size animals and full trap collection. In 2012 the wax museum was added. It is private owned and stays open through public donations.

Specialties

Museum of Wildlife and Early History 62 full-body animal mounts of Wyoming big-game species, predators and furbearers. Bison, bears and grey wolves are among the most popular exhibits. 27 wax dioramas depict the human history of the West. Beginning with an Indian on horseback hunting bison, mountain men, scenes of the Mormon handcart, Cattle Kate, and ending with the work of the famous artist, C.M. Russell. We are a non-profit, self-perpetuating organization that aims to entertain and educate visitors of all ages. Wax figures, full-body animal mounts, trap collections, antique saddles, 1900's-era farm equipment, a homesteaders cabin, arrowhead collections, and Western artwork bring the West to life. We offer patrons free guided tours.
