Taylor N. Delgado

Dr. Mark Sarfati is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology. He graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Biology. He received his M.D. from the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Sarfati then moved west and completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Arizona. During residency, he spent two years investigating endothelial cell biology in the lab of Dr. Stuart Williams. While at the University of Arizona, he was inspired to pursue a career in Vascular Surgery while working with Drs. Joseph Mills, Victor Bernhard, Glenn Hunter and Kenneth McIntyre. He moved to Salt Lake City and completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Utah under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Lawrence. Dr. Sarfati joined the faculty of the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1998. His clinical interests include the full spectrum of open and endovascular surgery. Dr. Sarfati particularly enjoys complex aortic, limb salvage and hemodialysis access surgery. In addition, he enjoys managing complicated conditions including aortic graft infection and tertiary vascular complications. He is a member of the University's multidisciplinary aortic treatment team.

Nishika Reddy, MD, practices comprehensive ophthalmology at the Moran Eye Center’s Midvalley Health Center location. She specializes in corneal and external eye diseases, including dry eye. Prior to joining Moran, she practiced ophthalmology in Dayton Ohio, and was instrumental in directing and organizing free eye clinics for the uninsured at the Kansas City Free Eye Clinic. Dr. Reddy completed her combined bachelor of arts/medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, her ophthalmology residence at Tulane University, and her cornea fellowship at The Ohio State University. Dr. Reddy is an active medical writer and editor, developing content for a wide range of patient education and therapeutic areas including surgery, pharmaceuticals, and ophthalmology. Roger A. Freedman, M.D., has been a faculty member at the University of Utah for over 30 years. He specializes in treating cardiac arrhythmias, particularly in the implantation and management of pacemakers and defibrillators. Pacemaker and defibrillator lead extraction is a highly specialized technique in which Dr. Freedman is very experienced. Dr. Freedman received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He did his internship and residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and his cardiology training at Stanford University. Dr. Freedman sees patients at the University of Utah Hospital's Cardiovascular Center and Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
