The Alcohol Receiving Center is a mental health care facility that serves more than 545 individuals who suffer from various behavioral health disorders and disabilities. The center is located in Cheyenne, Wyo., and is a part of the Peak Wellness Center, which offers treatment for alcohol and drug addiction and substance abuse prevention and recovery services. The Peak Wellness Center provides clinical intervention services, as well as the Foster Grandparent Program, which offers volunteer opportunities for disadvantaged senior citizens to serve the educational and family support needs of children with special needs. It additionally conducts free annual health screening and physical checkups and provides transportation assistance services.
