Cody, WY 82414
A local Cody, WY history museum that focuses on areas such as: Town founding, early town and area businesses, ranching/farming/agriculture, oil, and gas/railroads, tourism/rodeo/cowboys, and early Cody families. The design of the displays is chronological, from the pre-settlement period through the town establishment, WWI and WWII, and on thru the 1950s. The Museum is housed in the historic DeMaris House in downtown Cody, next to the Park County Courthouse. An all-volunteer Board of Directors has spent over a decade formulating plans for the Museum, raising and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars restoring and saving the building, and designing a unique interior layout to tell the story of this unique western town. The Cody Heritage Museum opened its doors in May of 2018.
