The Fond du Lac County Sheriff s Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that prevents crime, protects residents lives and property, preserves peace and order and safeguards constitutional rights. It maintains a support services and records division that provides clerical support for the sheriff s office and jail division, including transcription, data entry, report filing, and telephone and reception duties. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff s Office has a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team that specializes in bomb disposal and hostage and barricaded gunman situations. The office, established in 1925, employs a staff of more than 145 full-time sworn officers and support personnel. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff s Office is located in Fond du Lac, Wis.
