Wanakia Wildlife Rehab & Education

New Hope Center, based in Chilton, Wis., is a nonprofit agency that serves individuals with disabilities to improve their quality of life within the community. It offers a variety of services that empowers children and adults by focusing on an individual's abilities and potential and offers training and employment at the New Hope Center and in the community. Its facilities include three buildings, a fleet of vehicles and a team of dedicated staff and volunteers. Its services have expanded to include early childhood intervention, pediatric therapies, a variety of vocational opportunities, residential services, personal care, adult day services, case management and specialized transportation. It receives support from area individuals, service organizations, businesses and the county government and serves more than 250 individuals each year.

Founded in 1919, Curative Care Network is one of the largest human service organizations in southeastern Wisconsin. The organization conducts day services programs for developmentally disabled individuals. It offers several recreational activities, such as gardening and arts and crafts. Curative Care Network also provides computer skills development classes and conducts community outings. The organization serves children, adults and senior citizens in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties in Wisconsin. It is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Curative Care Network offers case management services. The organization additionally provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. It has provided assembling, fulfillment and packaging services to Quad Graphics, Johnson Controls, Chicago Show and Associated Spring. Curative Care Network operates a landscape maintenance division.

Eisenhower Center serves adults suffering from cerebral palsy, neurological disorders and other developmental disabilities by providing job training and therapy services, as well as an opportunity for paid employment. It teaches appropriate work behaviors and increase skills. It provides work, such as assembly, packaging, collating and mailing jobs. It offers classes in reading, mathematics, grammar, social skills, sex education and consumer awareness. Its therapy services include occupational, speech and language. Its physical therapy treatment includes muscle strengthening, pain management, mobility training and wheelchair positioning. It provides psychological services, including testing, evaluation and counseling. Eisenhower Center is partially funded by various local, state and federal programs, and is located in Milwaukee.
