United Fire & Rescue
United Fire Rescue, formed in 1994 through the consolidation of local fire departments from Baldwin, Hammond, and Woodville, operates as a volunteer organization serving the largest fire service area in St. Croix County. Covering over 180 square miles, they assist approximately 15,000 residents across four villages and nine townships, responding to around 250 emergency calls annually.
Dedicated to emergency response, United Fire Rescue addresses structure fires, wildland fires, hazardous material incidents, and traffic crashes, among other emergencies. They are recognized as innovators in the fire service, having been one of the first in Wisconsin to use advanced extrication equipment and to design a unique aerial quint with rear suction capabilities.
