The Mat, Cushion & Couch

History

I have been in private practice since 2006 and started my own business, The Mat, Cushion and Couch, LLC, in 2012. I focus on psychotherapy for adult individuals and couples, and, if helpful to clients, include mindfulness meditation training and yoga instruction. I became a yoga teacher in 2012 to facilitate the yoga part of the practice as I have found that yoga can be a wonderful addition to therapy for some clients.

Specialties

General psychotherapy, adult, individual and couple, anxiety, trauma, addiction, mood disorders. I use talk therapy, meditation training and yoga movement to help resolve issues that cause the individual pain and prevent fully embracing one's unique gifts. I also provide clinical supervision and consultation for therapists specializing in mental health counseling and/or treatment for substance use disorders. I am a licensed psychologist and approved by WI DHS as a substance abuse supervisor.
