History

The Book Teller began with four committed individuals dedicated to increasing traffic to our downtown by bringing an independent bookstore and gift shop back into the community. With one year under our belts, not too much has changed, other than the proprietorship, which has been transferred to Karen McCulloch, one of our four founding stakeholders. We are so grateful to our local community and visitors who've supported us thus far!

Specialties

The Book Teller is a charming used (and new) bookshop and gift store located in an historic city bank in downtown Whitewater, WI. With titles old and new, The Book Teller invites you to browse the many genres and distinctly unique gifts handcrafted by local artisans, and enjoy a cup of tea or cocoa in a comfy chair! We hope you'll pop in for a visit!
