SweetWater is dedicated to restoring the Greater Milwaukee watersheds to conditions that are healthy for swimming and fishing. By bringing together diverse partners, the organization provides the leadership and innovation necessary to protect and restore shared water resources across the region.

Since its inception in 2008, SweetWater has collaborated with various stakeholders to secure sustainable water resources through a watershed approach that transcends jurisdictional and social boundaries. Their efforts span five key watersheds, including the Milwaukee River, Menomonee River, Kinnickinnic River, Oak Creek, and Root River, impacting seven counties and hundreds of square miles.
