In operation since 1962, ShopKo has two divisions, including ShopKo and ShopKo Express Rx. It employs more than 16,000 individuals in over 13 states and operates nearly 135 stores. ShopKo is a part of Sun Capital Partners, which is one of the leading private investment firms that focuses on leveraged buyouts, equity, debt and a variety of other investments. ShopKo operates various multidepartment retail stores that offer a range of home, family basics, casual apparel, health care and seasonal products. It offers products of various brands, including Nike, adidas, Reebok, Kitchen Aid, Fisher-Price and Sony. In addition, its private-label brands include Bailey's Point, NorthCrest, Energy Zone, Soft Sensations, Soon to Be and Green Soda. ShopKo has a location in Appleton, Wis.
