Riveredge Nature Center, located in Saukville, WI, spans 485 acres of diverse ecosystems, including prairies, forests, wetlands, and Milwaukee River banks. Established in 1968, it is the oldest independent nature center in southeastern Wisconsin, dedicated to environmental education, research, and conservation efforts.
Home to over 10 miles of scenic trails, Riveredge offers programs and workshops for all ages, attracting visitors from across the region. The membership pays for itself - it is an excellent value if you enjoy hiking it is wonderful. The downside is that the special programs are hit or miss. Some are well organized (Sturgeon Fest)...
It's a nice sleepy lil' learning place about birds & bees, leaves & ferns and woodland creatures. They have workshops & stuff.
