The Ridges Sanctuary, established in 1937, is Wisconsin's first land trust dedicated to preserving the most biologically diverse ecosystem in the state. With 1,600 acres of land in Baileys Harbor, it has been recognized as a Wisconsin State Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark, and an Important Bird Area.

Committed to education and research, The Ridges offers a variety of programs for both children and adults to foster connections with the natural world. Through initiatives like the Orchid Restoration Project and Citizen Science, The Ridges strives to protect and understand the biodiversity of its unique landscape.
