History
Jeff Richter's woodworking career began at age 13 when he was hired by Steve Sherman of L.P. Sherman & Son of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jeff's responsibilities started off with the dreaded sanding duties and quickly grew as Mr. Sherman realized Jeff's potential. Jeff was completing delicate lathe jobs by the time he was 14 under the watchful eye of his mentor. As his problem solving skills became more honed, his responsibilities grew. At the age of 16, his lathe skills were finely polished. His eye for detail became more apparent as he began custom hand carvings. Mr. Sherman was also generous enough to share trade secrets of creating one of a kind moldings on antique pieces of furniture to replace parts that were impossible to buy. By the time Jeff was 21, Mr. Sherman was working towards retirement and with his support, Jeff started his own shop across town. In 2004 Jeff moved his family and shop to the beautiful town of Siren, Wisconsin where the business continues
