Founded in 2004, Porchlight is a nonprofit, volunteer-intensive agency that provides emergency shelter and low-cost housing through Community Housing & Services and Transitional Housing in Dane County, Wis. The agency also comprises of an emergency shelter for men, Safe Haven, which offers housing and intensive services for men and women suffering from serious mental illnesses. They have a poor pipeline to the CAC and excel in face-to-face dialogue as well as provide a food pantry. The more I take advantage of the stuff that they DO offer, the better I feel about them....
