Located on the 15,000 acre Navarino Wildlife Area (WDNR), Navarino Nature Center is a non-profit that provides educational / recreational programs to all ages. There are 12 miles of trails that the nature center assists in maintaining for hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Displays include: mammals, observation bee hive, renewable energy and much more.

I actually have not been in the center itself but I did hike 6 miles around the center. Besides the weather being perfection the location is stunning. The paths are really wide and cleaned up...

I saw the post about the logging. It is part of the cycle of the forest life. When trees reach maturity it is time for them to be harvested. I don't know about the age or health of this forest...
