Madison Fire Department-Station 12

Station Twelve, located on the far-west side of Madison, Wisconsin, has been serving the community since August 2009. The station fills a significant gap in emergency response and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a Community Room named in memory of Dr. Darren Bean, the Department's former Medical Director. The station is also known for its commitment to sustainability, as it received LEED Platinum Certification and was the first firehouse in the country to earn that distinction.
