Maddisen Long-Pero is a physician assistant practicing in hand and upper extremity. She obtained her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, WI and earned her master’s in physician assistant studies from the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse, WI. Maddisen’s medical interests include carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s disease, trigger finger, wrist, thumb, and hand arthritis, fractures, strains and sprains, bursitis and tendonitis, deformity correction, repetitive motion injury, osteomyelitis, cortisone injections, and plastic and reconstructive surgery. Maddisen is a member of both the American and Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants. In her time away from work, besides being a beekeeper, she enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, cross country skiing, cooking, hobby farming, listening to music, and watching movies. Katie is involved with many community groups including Second Harvest Food Bank, Primates, Inc., NAMI, and the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. They love to travel. Their favorites have been seeing the Hubbard Glacier calving in Alaska, which they reported as awesome, and experiencing the amazing rain forest in Costa Rica.
