Lakeside Foods is one of the leading commercial canning companies in the United States. Founded by Albert Landreth, the company has been operational for more than 100 years. It offers a wide variety of food products, such as canned and frozen vegetables, dry, kidney, black and pork beans, jellies and preserves, shelf-stable meals, raised meats and stew, organic products, health beverage supplements, nondairy frozen dessert toppings, salsa and other sauces. Lakeside Foods has processing plants in Manitowoc, Belgium, Random Lake, Reedsburg, Seymour, New Richmond and Eden, Wis., and Plainview, Brooten and Owatonna, Minn. The company supplies its products to several clients, including Frosty Acres, Kroger, Unipro, US Foodservice, Markon, Topco, ALDI, Save A Lot, Reinhart and Flaminco Companies.
