A.W. Oakes & Son, located in Racine, Wis., has been providing earthwork and construction services for more than 50 years. It performs residential, commercial and industrial site development activities. The earthwork and underground services provided by the company include site grading; foundation and footing excavations; base preparation of parking lots, sidewalks and roads; and water work and storm utilities; and sanitary sewer installations. The company provides mass excavation and grading services and has hauled soil for various applications. It also provides equipment for moving large quantities of earth by scrapers and articulating materials for constructing retention basins and sedimentation ponds. It has trained personnel to handle environmental cleanup projects, such as soil remediation and building demolition work.
