Dr. Eckes earned his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominican Republic. He completed his internship and residency in neurology at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, FL. Eckes' practice is focused on general neurology with special interest in neuromuscular and movement disorders and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Eckes is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Movement Disorder Society, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Faith and religion play an important role in his personal life. He loves to volunteer his time to help others. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and watching most sports. He also likes to travel and has visited Europe twice visiting France, Italy, German, and Poland. He would like to plan more trips with his family in the future.

He also treats basic fractures of the ankle, shoulder and wrist. Dr. Roman is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. When Dr. Roman is not taking care of patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and the family Goldendoodle, Solvi. Both of his daughters golf competitively in high school and college, and when time away from work allows, he enjoys watching their competitions. Dr. Roman and his family are active volunteer members of their church, until their recent move, his wife served as director of the youth ministry program. As a family they love to escape the cold weather of Wisconsin and take adventure trips canyoneering (hiking, rock climbing and repelling) in western National Parks.
