History

We started with a simple concept...Create a unique restaurant experience for our customers by offering exceptional food quality at a great price. With this vision, we began researching the local history of our area and decided on the name, IRONWORKS. The name IRONWORKS came from a business which once existed in Marinette, WI in the late 1800's. Marinette Iron Works specialized in the manufacturing of farming and mining equipment as well as steam locomotive engine parts. Incorporating local history into the theme of our business was extremely important. Our area has a long tradition of hard-working families who do what it takes to make ends meet. We wanted to create a restaurant which was dedicated to the efforts of these local men and women. The decor of the restaurant was designed to give our customers an industrial feel with a modern twist. Our tables and barstools were manufactured locally by a company in Marinette.
