Iron Amethyst Inn is a boutique upscale historic mansion offering a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Mazomanie, WI. Nestled among scenic bluffs, woods, and farmland, it provides a spa-like experience just 25 minutes away from Madison. Steeped in history, the property was originally built in 1865 by William Thompson and later owned by Dr. John Kester. The town's name, Mazomanie, honors Chief Mazomani, a Sioux leader known as "The Iron That Walks." After extensive restoration by the Friske family, the inn was opened to guests in 1999. In 2019, Justin and Jennifer Martinez took over, transforming the mansion into a boutique hotel for accommodations, weddings, events, and parties, complete with a Speak Easy, beer garden, and Wellness Spa.
