Granite Peak

Granite Peak Ski Area is located in Wausau, Wis., which has been a ski town since 1937. It offers ideal beginner terrain in the United States, and three lifts for learning skiers and boarders. Programs offered include teddy bears for ages 3-to-8, and the mountaineers program for ages 9-to-12. Its rental store offers a variety of gear, such as Salomon and Rossignol skis and snowboards. Skis offered by the shop include Salomon X-Scream skis and Rossignol Roc X skis for adults, and Salomon Crossmax and K2 Mach skis for children. The store also offers Salomon Symbio 500 and Salomon Verse 550 boots. Granite Peak s ski shop has a selection of ski and snowboard clothing and accessories, including hats, gloves, mittens, pants, jackets, as well as souvenir and custom gifts, such as T-shirts and sweat shirts. The ski area also features a six-person chairlift, which offers a roundtrip and begins from Granite Peak or Rib Mountain State Peak.
