Genoa National Fish Hatchery

Visitors can expect to see up to 13 species of fish that are reared on site and a number of mussel species that are common to the upper Mississippi River basin. A 1,500 gallon aquarium of fish commonly found in the upper Mississippi River is also on display in our Visitor Center on the east side of the highway. The Great River Road Interpretive Center, open since 2018, contains many natural history and local history exhibits and is a must see for the Great River Road traveler.
