Geneva Lake Law Enforcement
The Geneva Lake Law Enforcement Agency was established in 1968 by five municipalities to promote safety and uphold the law on Geneva Lake's waters. Funded primarily by the Village of Fontana, Village of Williams Bay, City of Lake Geneva, and Town of Linn, the department utilizes resources including reimbursement from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to cover operating costs.
Comprising 15 certified law enforcement officers, including a Sergeant and a Commander, this agency operates from April through October. It actively participates in programs like Operation Dry Water to enhance awareness and reduce alcohol- and drug-related incidents on the lake.
