Gateway Technical College is one of the leading colleges in southwestern Wisconsin. Formerly known as Racine Technical Institute, Gateway has been operational for more than 50 years. The college enrolls more than 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually, and has campuses in Kenosha, Racine, Elkhorn Sturtevant, Pleasant Prairie and Burlington, Wis. It also offers online courses, customized training and workshops through LakeView Advanced Technology Center and The Center for Bioscience and the Integration of Computer and Telecommunications Technology. Gateway provides various academic programs, such as bachelor s, master s, doctoral and associates degrees, certificates, diplomas and apprenticeships. The college s courses include accounting, financial planning, business administration, office technology, aeronautics, applied engineering technology, and manufacturing maintenance programs. It also offers majors in automotive technology, cosmetology, biosciences, child care and development, early childhood education, and culinary arts.

Blackhawk Technical College

Based in Janesville, Wis., Blackhawk Technical College offers a wide variety of courses and programs. Its programs include associate degrees, diplomas, certificate, shared and apprenticeship programs, and general education courses. The academic programs include a wide variety of courses, such as business management, criminal justice, culinary arts, radiography, dental assistant, care worker, phlebotomy, carpentry and electrician studies. The technical college has a campus of 200,000 square feet, and providing various facilities, including instructional classrooms, shops and laboratories. It provides classrooms and laboratories for accounting, marketing, word processing, administrative assistant, legal secretary, fire science, criminal justice, child care services, welding and machine tool.
