The Forest Exploration Center is a non-profit organization located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, dedicated to the preservation and conservation of a 67-acre mature hardwood forest. With its diverse range of native tree species and rich understory of wildflowers, the forest provides a unique habitat for wildlife, including over 158 species of birds. Visitors can enjoy a one-mile self-guided nature trail, offering an immersive experience and the opportunity to deepen their understanding of forest ecosystems.

Love this trail. Not particularly challenging but it really does feel like you're in an old forest. I often see deer on this trail and in the spring it's awash in Trillium.
