Family Preservation Program

Located in Eau Claire, Wis., Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan features counseling sessions with birth parents on various parenting options. The organization also features home studies for the adoption of domestic and international infants and children. It includes independent and step-parent adoptions, post-placement and postlegal counseling services. It supports the Lutheran Social Services Adoption & Birth parent program in contract with the state of Wisconsin to assist in the adoption of children with special needs. Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan is owned by the synods of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The organization offers a variety of services for children that includes adoption, counseling, housing and referral assistance.

Eau Claire Academy, located in Eau Claire, Wis., is a full-service treatment center owned and operated by Clinicare Corporation. Founded in 1967, the center provides treatment for children and adolescents who face adjustment problems in society. It offers a wide range of programs and services for individuals, including intensive and short-term treatment, respite care, assessment and evaluation, after care planning, alcohol and drug abuse treatment, cognitive intervention treatment and family therapy. Eau Claire Academy also offers a variety of other programs and services, such as pregnant adolescent programming, adolescent female empowerment program, treatment for offenders and survivors program. The center provides various additional services, including video conferencing and transitional programming. It holds a certification by the Illinois State Board of Education Certification.
