Engineering Department

Madison Engineering Division is a part of the city of Madison, Department of Public Works and is located in Madison, Wis. It maintains the public streets, bridges, underpasses, sidewalks, wastewater and drainage systems to acceptable and legally required service levels providing comparable service to all citizens. It expands these public facilities to accommodate the growth of the city. Its environmental services include management of closed landfills and fuel tanks, environmental audits, siting of new landfills and long-range waste management plans. Its other services include review of certified survey maps, conditional use applications and planned unit developments to insure that they are compatible with future transportation needs.
