About Our Business A local, family-owned business, Eastmore Real Estate has provided quality apartment living to the Milwaukee area for more than 60 years. While our company has grown, the high level of personal attention we provide has never wavered. To ensure that you enjoy all the benefits of apartment living, we employ a team of experienced maintenance engineers who are on call 24/7. Our semi-annual surveys prove that Eastmore's staff not only meets but exceeds residents' expectations. We give back to our community. Eastmore is a strong advocate of efforts to improve our neighborhoods, and we support a wide range of local non-profit organizations and civic events, including the Shorewood Criterium Bicycle Race and the Eastside Farmers Market. Eastmore is forward-thinking. We believe in adaptive reuse in housing-that is, restoring existing properties rather than contributing to environmental destruction through new development. We continually strive to reduce our carbon footprint by using extra insulation, certified weatherization, efficient lighting, and other energy-reducing practices in our buildings. Whenever possible, we use native plants in our landscaping and employ only minimal use of pesticides. Fifty percent of Eastmore Real Estate is owned by a woman, and we are strongly committed to equal opportunity. A native of Milwaukee's East Side, Leonard attended Marquette University High School before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Prior to joining Eastmore Real Estate full-time, Leonard managed Bay Shore Mall and worked with the Milwaukee Redevelopment Corporation on developing The Grand Avenue Mall. Committed to public service and volunteerism, Leonard has given back to Milwaukee and to Wisconsin in many ways. He serves on the State of Wisconsin Transportation Projects Commission and is the former chair of the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission. The current vice president of Shorewood Business Improvement District, Leonard is also a board member of Diverse & Resilient, Inc and served on the board of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Milwaukee. Leonard has supported the efforts of many other organizations as well, including Sierra Club, The Nature Conservancy, 1000 Friends of Wisconsin, Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association, Gathering Waters Land Trust, Urban Ecology Center, Milwaukee Art Museum, and University of Wisconsin Alumni Association. Deborah heads Eastmore Real Estate's brokerage division, which specializes in commercial-investment, multi-family properties, tax-deferred exchanges, and short sales. Since founding the division in 1985, she has become an industry leader, serving as director and president-elect of the Milwaukee Board of Realtors and director of the Wisconsin Realtors Association. Deborah is also an active member of the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Real Estate Exchangors. She was the founding president of the Commercial Association of Realtors, Wisconsin ( 1993 ). In 1994, Deborah was named Realtor of the Year by both the Southeastern Wisconsin Commercial Association of Realtors and the Milwaukee Board of Realtors. It was the first and only time that one person was simultaneously awarded by both associations. Jeffrey began his career Eastmore Real Estate as a resident manager in 1987, while working his way through college. In his current position as operations manager, Jeffrey oversees building maintenance and customer service for all Eastmore buildings. An avid physical fitness enthusiast, Jeffrey believes strongly in leading a well-rounded life. He meditates regularly and is an active volunteer in men's support groups. During the holidays, he serves food at a local homeless shelter. For fun, Jeffrey enjoys long trips on his Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. Terrible service. The owner, Leonard Sobczat was incredibly rude and wouldn't take responsibility for his companies failures. I will never use their services again.
