The Chippewa County Historical Society (CCHS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, dedicated to preserving the rich history of Chippewa County. Established in 1969 by a group of passionate volunteers, the Society recently relocated to a new, modern facility at 12 Bridgewater Avenue, designed to pay homage to the historic Big Mill in downtown Chippewa Falls.

For decades, CCHS was housed in the original convent of Notre Dame Church before moving to its current location. The Society's mission is to ensure that the vibrant and diverse history of Chippewa County is remembered and celebrated for generations to come.
