History

Cable Car Travel's first office opened in Dubuque, Iowa in 1974. It was located at the foot of the Fenelon Place Elevator and that's where the agency name originated. Our Platteville office opened in 1976 by Lloyd and Rebecca Peters. It was located in the mezzanine level at Dick's Supermarket for ten years and then moved to its present location on Pine Street. Ownership of the agency transferred to Rebecca Peters in May 2010, with the death of her husband Lloyd. Our agency is fully accredited with ARC, IATA and CLIA. We have been a member of the Platteville Chamber of Commerce for more than 30 years.
