Brown County Recycling

Recycling Services, a division of the Solid Waste Department, offers recycling collection programs. It processes recyclable containers, such as steel and aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles and jars. The division operates a materials recovery facility that sorts, processes and markets recyclable containers for county residents, businesses and municipalities. It receives waste materials and delivers them to mills and factories throughout the United States. The facility also serves as an education center that provides facility tours, as well as educational materials on topics related to recycling. It utilizes mechanical and manual sorting methods to produce recyclable materials. The division s materials recovery facility is operated by N.E.W. Curative Rehabilitation, which is a nonprofit organization. The Solid Waste Department is a part of the government of Brown County in Wisconsin.
