Heartland Counseling was established to provide individual and marriage counseling. It is the private practice of Dr. Ann Lawrence, a state of Wisconsin, licensed psychologist.

Hi! I am a psychologist who provides psychotherapy, counseling, and coaching to adults, adolescents, and seniors. My specialty area is relationships - I work with all sorts of relationships - marriage, dating, business partnerships, siblings, and more. I find relationship work both challenging and enjoyable. Helping people to understand what motivates and matters to them, what motivates and matters to their significant others, and how to better communicate with and support one another, is a joyful enterprise. I also enjoy working with individuals who are trying to navigate personal issues. These might include depression, anxiety, or difficulty with anger, but may also involve managing a crisis, chronic health problems, career choice, workplace concerns, or uncertainty about major decisions. The values with which I approach my work include honesty, being straight-forward, and keeping a sense of humor.
