While stationed in Alaska he developed a passion for mountain hunting. He’s been lucky enough to do 10 hunts in Alaska over the past 5 years and plans to return every year. I love my job. Beyond the technical aspects of my work, I really enjoy the relationships that develop by walking alongside my patients. Trauma and surgery are scary, so I do my best to make sure each patient and their family members feel reassured that they’re in good hands. I treat each patient like I would want my family member to be treated. – Timothy Vanderbilt, MD
