Located in Charleston, W.Va., the Office of Community Health Systems offers community-based health services. The office provides services through health care centers, local health departments, hospitals and emergency medical units. It offers assistance to design framework for local health department employees and local boards to improve community health conditions. The Office of Community Health Systems also develops and implements performance improvement strategies for state and local governmental public health agencies. In addition, the office offers financial incentive programs for primary health care professionals to serve underserved communities. It provides education, information and networking opportunities for health care providers and policymakers. The Office of Community Health Systems organizes forums, special event meetings and breakout sessions to discuss health-related issues.
