Whipple company store has been a touring center for the past 13 years to those that past by and wanted coal mining history up close and personal. The coal heritage signs across from the building will provide a lot of coal camp information . The building itself is not open to the public in 2019. renovations are being done by the new owners. I am sure they will let you know when hours of operation have been decided on..

The place is closed. Grass and weeds all around. Please don't drive out of your way to see this.

Joy and co are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This was very entertaining for me, even coming from a fairly non coal mining background. Worth the stop if you are passing by the area. I think...
