Wheeling Operations Division

The Operations Division is governed by the Public Works Department, which is administered by the city government of Wheeling in West Virginia. The division is responsible for maintaining traffic and street blade signage, including speed limit postings and stop, directional and street identification signs. The Operations Division also maintains pavement markings in the city s streets. The Public Works Department is responsible for the operation, development and maintenance of the city s infrastructure. Its engineering division is responsible for street paving, drainage, traffic engineering and rights-of-way information. The department also operates through water, vehicle maintenance, and sanitation and recycling divisions. The Public Works Department additionally oversees the operation of the city s wastewater treatment plant.
