History
West Whitehill Winery is located in Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia. Owner Steve West started the business from a few acres of grapes in 1981 and homemade machines to producing thousands of cases of more than eight varieties. He is assisted by winemaker and winery manager Tyler Wilkins whom you meet when you stop by the winery. His daughter, Amanda West, has now joined him in management of the vineyard and business.
Specialties
West-Whitehill's wines are unique. We are known for our dessert and specialty wines which are blended with fruit, berry and spice flavors. Our semi-dry whites have a fresh, new wine flavor similar to Reisling wines. And our dry aged red reflects the fruitiness of the Chambourcin grape which grows so well in this area. When you visit our winery, you'll see its simple and to the point, plus you'll get a free tasting of our wines. We hope you stop by!
