History

Michael Rucker has been working as a marriage and family therapist since 2012. He has spent a number of years in both a hospital environment as well as private practice. After a short period of time in inpatient services he returned to outpatient services. Since 2014 Michael has been an independent contractor practicing marriage and family therapy. Upon relocation to the Morgantown area, he established Rucker Therapy Associates in 2016.

He received his degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA which is a COAMFTE accredited training program. He owes and operates Rucker Therapy Associates (RTA) which is a full service marriage and family therapy private practice serving individuals, couples, groups, families, young adults, and children through a variety of therapy modalities. Services include assessment and evaluation, diagnosis and treatment planning for a variety of mental and emotional disorders. RTA specializes in marital problems, mood and anxiety disorders, systems therapy and consultations, divorce counseling, trauma work, adjustment disorders, addictions, and personality disorders.
