Pete & Libby's Auto Repair

History

Pete and Libby Sutton moved from Tampa, FL to open an auto repair business. Pete had been an auto mechanic for nearly 20 years prior to opening his own shop. Upon opening, he and libby would work 7 days a week and nearly 18 hours a day to keep up. They quickly built a solid customer base and hired two techs in 1978. Business kept growing as word got out about their service. The shop grew from a one stall to a three stall in the mid 1980's. Another tech and a service adviser was added then to facilitate the customers. In early 1994, an second shop was built adjacent to the original. This added 2 more bays but more importantly, added a raised ceiling with allowed an alignment machine and a hoist. In 1995, Pete retired due to medical issues. Their son, Mike began working there in 1994 as a tech. Continuing in his parents footsteps, he took over full control of daily operations in 2005. Libby soon retired later in 2005. The business has evolved into a state of the art facility.

Our facility is a family run business that opened in the current location in February of 1976. We specialize in complete car care and repair. Repairs to suspension systems, braking systems, computer systems, interiors, exhaust, steering, engine mechanical, drive axles and transmissions. We have the latest in dealer diagnostic equipment. Our expertise allows us to service a multitude of car makes; Audi/VW, Acura/Honda, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti, BMW/Mini, Volvo, Mercedez-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Saturn are just to name a few. When it comes to reprogramming or coding the new parts for your car, we have the ability due to our equipment. We invest heavily on technologies that allow us to service these cars with efficiency and affordability. Training and information systems is another area we emphasize with our employees. Our techs are under constant training with the latest industry practices and procedures. The combined experience of our techs exceeds 140 years.
