Literacy Volunteers of Monongalia Preston Counties (LVMPC) has been providing free, research-based literacy services to West Virginians since the 1980s. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, LVMPC offers literacy programs for individuals of all ages, from infants to senior citizens, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

With a mission of "Each One, Teach One," LVMPC works with both native English speakers and English Language Learners to enhance their abilities through monthly community literacy clubs, one-on-one tutoring, adult literacy classes, and more.
