On July 1, 1997, a group of primary care physicians and specialists in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia and the Greenbrier Valley of West Virginia merged their practices to create WVVA HealthCare Alliance. WVVA HealthCare Alliance is a multi-specialty group that currently includes 20 primary care physicians, three specialists, 3 physician assistants, and one nurse practitioner. Our specialists include: oncologist, two orthopaedic surgeons, and general surgeons. We also have sub specialties in the areas of pulmunology, cardiology, infectious disease, hematology, and nephrology. In addition, we provide ancillary services that include X-rays, EKGs, bone density studies, ultrasound studies, and sleep studies.
