Eagle Rock / Tuscarora Trail in Wardensville, WV offers a breathtaking hiking experience with some of the best vistas in the Great North Mountain range. Whether you choose the 7.2 mile out-and-back hike from US48 55 or the family-friendly 2.1 mile hike from Dry Gap VA609, you'll be treated to stunning views of Paddy Gap, Short Mountain, and the Massanutten Range.
With its re-routing in 2014, the trail now passes through the private property of the Capon Springs Hunt Club, so it's important to respect private property boundaries and practice Leave No Trace hiking etiquette. The trail is well-marked with blue blazes and offers opportunities for camping and picnicking at various points along the way.

Absolutely beautiful landscapes and views of the valley and ridge lines. The hike is a short distance (0.8 miles) to the view point, but the change in elevation makes it a great workout.

Spectacular views. We try to go here every season: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. But be careful if the rocks are wet or icy in the Winter...
