History

Dr. Mark Simpson opened Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in 1986. His goal was to open a dental office that could be a complete dental center providing a full range of dental treatments from implants, sedation dentistry to crowns and veneers. Dr. Mark is passionate about his work and is always searching for better ways to provide comprehensive treatment for his patients. He keeps up with all the advances in dentistry and takes opportunities to teach other dentists how to place and restore implants by hosting seminars. Dr. Mark taught this passion and diligence to his daughter Dr. Christen Simpson Raynes. Dr. Christen started practicing dentistry in 2006 and took over the Ravenswood office in 2013. She has carried on the tradition of excellence at Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Christen and Dr. Mark work together in their Charleston full service dental laboratory, at Simpson Dental Associates, where they design and perfect dental restorations.
