The James & Law Company is a result of a 1905 merger between the James Shepherd Company (1903) and the A. S. Law Company (1899). Mr. James and Mr. Law set out from the beginning to provide our customers with the best selection of products and services available and while our product offering has changed, we still strive to make each customers experience pleasurable. Since 1912, we have been the official depository for Textbooks and Instructional Materials in West Virginia. In the beginning we contracted with fourteen publishers, we now act as agents for over fifty publishers. The Gift Shop of old is gone, along with the Athletic Equipment and Photography and Framing Departments; however we continue to provide Office & School Supplies and the complete line of Lanier Office Products, including Copiers, Printers, Scanners and Fax. We also have a West Virginia Book Section, Coin Supplies and an all American made Flag department. Our Office Furniture Design department combined with our decades of experience and 6,000 sq. ft. display and our furniture install department, provide our customers the stress relief needed when it comes to expanding, moving or just changing their office environment.
