Black Bear Resort

Located in the heart of Canaan Valley, West Virginia, Black Bear resort is the perfect location to enjoy the mountains, rivers and recreation of the area. Set on more than 40 landscaped acres, we have sweeping views of Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, Cabin Mountain and Timberline ski area. Our resort is located on Canaan Mountain at the north end of Canaan Valley between Blackwater Falls State Park and Canaan Valley State Park. We are only four miles from the town of Davis, WV. Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob and 900,000 acres of Monongahela National Forest are nearby, offering endless possibilities for outdoor recreation and scenic beauty...any time of year! Our on-site amenities include an outdoor heated pool, fish ponds, mini golf, playground, tennis, basketball, volleyball, a nature trail, 24 hour security, miles of private roads for riding bikes and a large mountain lodge with large decks for meetings, events, weddings, reunions, picnics and more! Black Bear offers three unique styles of accommodations, and all are individually owned and tastefully decorated by the owner. Choose from inn suites, 2 bedroom pedestal cabins (5 different floor plans available), or deluxe pedestal homes with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Inn Suites (12 suites) A large one room suite with a dining area, private balcony or patio, fireplace, double Jacuzzi tub, mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Perfect for a quick getaway! Cabins (35+ cabins, 3 large houses) These two bedroom cabins sleep 4-6 people. There is a main bedroom with a queen bed and a loft bedroom with various bed styles. All of our pedestal cabins have fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer, wood burning fireplaces with wood provided, and large decks - most with grills. All linens and towels are provided.
