Writhe was opened in 2011 by Leah Weston and is the only Pole Dance Studio on the North end of the Puget Sound.

At Writhe Pole Dance our mission is to facilitate a change in the female psyche one pole twirl at a time! We believe that pole dance should be affordable and accessible to women of all shapes, sizes, races, and creeds. Through sensuous movement we feel that women are able to bond with one another and to deepen their understanding of themselves. We pride ourselves in sharing pole in a loving and non-competitive fashion with an emphasis on fluid movement and creativity. Pole has become an outlet for many women to have a new experience with themselves and a foundation for strong female relationships. Pole Dancing is an expressive art and at Writhe we celebrate individuality. We have found self expression to be empowering and to experience it among like-minded women is truly liberating. At Writhe we offer many different types of dance focused classes. Whether you have never attended pole classes or are looking to have a new experience with pole we have a class to fit your needs.
